Chapter 3 Doctor (1)
At the time He Di received the phone call and rushed to the hospital, Su Jinbei was still in the operating room. After waiting for a long time at the door lit with red, the door to the operating room finally opened.
“Doctor, doctor! What happened, how’s the person inside?” He Di grabbed the head surgeon, her heart anxious.
“Hey, hey, you can rest assured, she’s fine. There’s a fracture on her leg, a slight concussion and some other bruises, but she’ll live.” The nurse next to the doctor said quickly.
“Really?!” He Di breathed a sigh of relief, “Can I go and see her then?”
Nurse, “You can visit her in a bit once we transfer her to a room.”
“That’s fine…” He Di looked behind them, but forgot to let go of the head doctor’s hand and kept pulling on his arm.
“Miss.” A very cold voice sounded.
He Di paused and looked up. The light blue mask covered most of his face, but those eyes made her forget to look away. Light brown, clear, extremely beautiful.
“Please let go.” He spat out a few words, not in an impatient way, but He Di felt embarrassed, “Sorry, sorry, um, thank you doctor.”
“No need.” He said, he walked past He Di and walked towards the end of the corridor. He Di glanced back. She didn’t see the man’s full face, but she was inexplicably surprised. But she didn’t think about it for long, and turned to the nurse to ask Su Jinbei’s room number.
“Wasn’t that woman just now a big TV star?” The anesthesiologist took off his mask and asked for gossip.
“Yeah, yeah, I think it’s going to be on tomorrow’s headlines, don’t you think reporters will come tomorrow?”
An older nurse shook her head, “Keep it under wraps, don’t let the reporters disturb the patient.”
“Will we be able to? She came in with Xu Jiawei, the popular fresh meat.”
“Tsk, there seems to be a storm approaching.”
“Hey, hey, but I… cough, I accidentally took a few glances just now. Even with blood stains on her face, she’s indeed a famous beauty, so beautiful… ouch!” The person was smacked in the head by the other person, “You were in the middle of surgery! You dare get distracted!”
“I wasn’t! I said that I accidentally took a few glances! Isn’t it normal for a doctor to look at his patient! Not to mention, Su Jinbei is my goddess, I must be more careful.”
“Look at you.”
“Who are you talking about?” The assistant doctors and nurses were huddled and murmuring, suddenly a foreign voice rang.
Those people were startled, realizing that it was Zhou Shiyun who was a few steps ahead asking.
Just now they seemed very unprofessional, would Dr. Zhou be dissatisfied? Everyone panicked, “That, it’s nothing.”
Zhou Shiyun didn’t ignore it like he usually did. He turned around, and there was a hint of surprise in his usually calm eyebrows. “That person just now was Su Jinbei?”
“Ah, yes, yeah.” The little nurse said, “You didn’t notice?”
He didn’t, all patients look the same to him, he never paid attention to their appearance. What’s more, her face had been all bloody…
Zhou Shiyun silently glanced at the operating room in the distance. Was she really Su Jinbei? The woman appointed by the Zhou family.
“Dr. Zhou? What’s wrong?”
Zhou Shiyun withdrew his gaze, and his eyes returned to the cold and indifferent look again. “It’s nothing.”
After Zhou Shiyun left, the people behind whispered again, “Dr. Zhou specifically asked about Su Jinbei? Ah! Is Dr. Zhou also a fan of my goddess?!”
“You’re crazy, is Dr. Zhou fond of chasing celebrities like you? Our Dr. Zhou isn’t like that.”
“Hey, hey, hey, what do you mean by that?”
“It’s not an insult to your goddess, I meant, the calm and upright Dr. Zhou must prefer the warm and soft type, Su Jinbei is too flamboyant and fiery, they’re completely incompatible!”
Su Jinbei woke up at noon the next day.
She was dizzy and it hurt all over.
“Hiss…” moaning softly, Su Jinbei found that she could not move at all.
Her eyes became clearer, and she felt a person quickly fly to the bedside, “Jinbei, Jinbei, you’re awake! Do you feel pain anywhere! Any discomfort?!”
“Quiet down a little, my ears have almost gone deaf.” Su Jinbei croaked.
He Di’s voice had risen to an abnormally high pitch in her anxiety.
He Di was over the moon hearing her talk, “You’re still nagging at me, that’s good. Eh! The doctor is here, the doctor is here, let the doctor check up on you.”
