Chapter 34: Looking at my Grandson
Jiang Lan and Xing Zhengyuan peered at the mother and son standing in front of the school gate in excitement. Jiang Lan was especially pleased about her grandson’s mother, she was exactly like what she imagined her to be. She spoke with dismay, “She’s just like I thought, extremely beautiful! Too bad Liehan will never let her become my daughter-in-law.”
Xing Yinuo was full of hope. “Mom, don’t worry! Who knows? Perhaps Big bro will try to woo her in the future. He’s handsome and rich, so there’s no way she’ll say no!”
“This girl isn’t after money or fame. She definitely wouldn’t marry your brother because of them. Besides, she doesn’t look like she lacks money.” Jiang Lan became more and more disappointed with each word she said.
While Jiang Lan and Xing Yinuo were talking, Tang Siyu finally sent off Little Xi. She then prepared to go to her new apartment and check the things she needed to buy.
Xing Zhengyuan let out a deep sigh, watching his grandson for just this small amount of time wasn’t enough for him. “Let’s go home! We can only wait till Liehan brings the boy back to our home.”
Back at the luxurious apartment near the school, Tang Siyu wandered around the house, noting down each item she needed to buy. Her girly side fueled her desire to purchase small decorations to make her house seem warm and inviting. She left the house to go to the nearby shops and buy all the showpieces she wanted. However, when she returned, she noticed a large moving truck, out of which many men came pouring out, each lugging heavy furniture behind them and loading them onto the elevator.
She waited until the elevator stopped at her floor. As she got off, she noticed that the furniture was being moved to the house opposite to hers. She could even hear the sounds of renovation from inside.
Out of curiosity, she asked one of them decorating the house, “May I ask if someone’s going to move in here?”
“Yes Ma’am! The guest bought all the other suites on this floor too.”
“What?! All the other suites?!” Tang Siyu was perplexed. What kind of person had the money to waste it on things like this? Wasn’t it too much? It’d be much better to buy a large villa instead. At this rate, she couldn’t bring Little Xi over to the apartment just yet, the sounds of decorating would annoy them all day!
“Why did they buy so many suites?” Tang Siyu couldn’t help but ask.
“I don’t know either. I’m just doing my job.”
Tang Siyu was extremely bothered by the fact that she and the other resident would be the only two people living in this floor. She wanted to live in a lively place. Now she could only hope that her neighbour was not a pervert.
Because Little Xi was at the school, she had lots of time on her hands. So when she got call from Su Xi saying she had the perfect job for her, she rushed right over.
Turns out, one of Su Xi’s female friends was a singer and was going to hold a concert soon. Few of her songs needed to be accompanied by a piano, and her usual pianist was busy with something else. So Su Xi took the opportunity to refer Tang Siyu to her. When the friend heard that Tang Siyu was the mother of the young genius Tang Xiaoxi, she agreed to hire her without even testing her skills. The pay wasn’t bad so Tang Siyu gratefully accepted the job.
When the afternoon rolled around, Su Xi accompanied Tang Siyu to pick Little Xi up from the school and then took them out for a luxurious meal.
As they ordered the food, Siyu told Su Xi about the renovations in the house opposite to her new apartment, it seemed like she wouldn’t be able to move in there until a few weeks.
Su Xi didn’t mind it at all. This arrangement meant that every time she was relaxing at home, Tang Siyu would take care of her meals. On top of that, she wouldn’t all alone and bored out of her mind.
Even Little Xi did not have any objections. However, he was trying his best not to think about his father.
