The Male Lead Is Mine - Chapter 203
“Do you truly love me?” Violet asked.
“What made you certain?”
“I like it when you smile at me, and I find myself happy when you are nice only towards me. There are many other reasons besides these too.” Ever since he realized his feelings, the intensity of them grew exponentially. His heart to cherish her strengthened with each waking moment.
“I thought there was no chance you would see me as a woman until I came of age,” she admitted.
“Oh, well, I should wait,” Limontri sighed.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I am,” he nodded.
“But didn’t you say that you wouldn’t be able to leave your lover be?”
“You are an exception, Violet.”
“You’re an idiot,” she laughed, before burying her face into his arms. “Is this your earnest heart? You’re not acting this way out of pity for me, are you?”
“It is, and I’m not. I’m not that nice of a man to do such a thing,” he replied sternly.
Violet tightened her grip on the hem of his shirt and she whispered, “I want to be a couple.”
“Yes.” She felt envious whenever she saw Aris and Roy together. She wanted to be a couple with Limontri like them.
“Before that, there’s something I need to say.” Limontri gently pulled away from Violet and guided her over to a chair. Taking the seat across from her, he picked up the teacup and took a sip and said, “My family wishes for me to study abroad.”
“Study abroad? For how long?”
“For three years.”
Violet felt her heart break when she heard his response. They had finally reached the same page, but he was already speaking of leaving her. “Has it been decided?” she asked.
“I’m considering it,” he said honestly. He had wanted to discuss it with her earlier, but had been held back because he had still been sorting out his feelings for her. He knew that this news would sadden her.
“Must you leave?” Violet asked sadly.
“I don’t have to. If you oppose it, I won’t go.”
Violet nodded her head as the news sank in. When she raised her eyes to look at him, desperation shone in her eyes. “Limontri…”
“I’m being honest,” he said, reaching over to hold her hand tightly.
Violet’s eyes widened in surprise, and she asked, “How do you feel when you hold my hand?”
“I like it,” Limontri said candidly. “If you weren’t so young, I would stay for the night.”
Violet’s face reddened and she shyly averted her gaze. After a pause, she said, “Isn’t Aris’s wedding around the corner?”
“Can you give me until then?”
“Are you referring to the matter of studying abroad?”
“Yes.” She felt a little pressured when Limontri handed over the decision to study abroad to her. Even so, she felt grateful that he seemed to take her opinion seriously in the matter.

Aris’s wedding day was a sunny spring day. Dressed up nicely, Limontri arrived in a carriage to pick up Violet from the d’Essel mansion. When the carriage rolled through the gates, Violet was waiting for him at the entrance.
“Welcome,” Violet said.
Like always, she was dressed in a pretty dress. Limontri thought she looked so beautiful and lovely that she might even outshine Aris, the bride of the wedding. He recognized that his heart had undergone a complete transformation. Once he became aware of his feelings, the whole world seemed to change.
“I plan to tell Big Sister that we’ve become a couple today,” Violet said.
Limontri nodded in agreement. Hiel was already aware of the news, but Aris hadn’t learned of their relationship yet. They hadn’t been able to contact her since she’d been too busy with her wedding preparations.

The wedding venue was crowded with guests. After the wedding ceremony concluded, the wedded couple headed to the party hall. When they entered the hall, Aris discovered her friends seated together at a table and quickly approached them.
“Thank you all for coming!” Aris said, beaming at the gathered group. Limontri wordlessly reached over to grab Violet’s hand and the younger girl blushed. Seeing this, Aris realized his intention and remarked in surprise, “Oh my! When did you two become a couple?”
Violet and Hiel, who was next to her, answered at the same time.
“It hasn’t been long, Big Sister.”
“It hasn’t been long.”
