Chapter 63: New Agency (3)
“Come on, Ye Sui!”
The skin on her face clung to the plastic wrap, and she felt the air getting thinner as her facial features were squeezed together.
Cosmetic surgery, right? Were all facial features changed? Not worthy of the little flower’s identity? It didn’t matter what people said.
After all, many more would accompany her on this road.
The show was recorded at four in the afternoon. In the locker room, Ye Sui met Qi Xian.
Qi Xian’s assistant, Xiao Zhou, had just come in from outside, holding many cups of Starbucks coffee in his hand. A short while back, he had asked Xiao Zhou to take out his wallet and buy coffee for other guests.
Xiao Zhou placed the cups on the table and handed the wallet to Qi Xian. However, he was in such a hurry that it fell on the ground with a bang.
The black wallet was opened with a photo visible inside; it was of Qi Xian and another person.
Ye Sui glanced at it casually, her eyes lingering on the photo for a few seconds. She felt that the man’s face was very familiar; it was the ghost she saw at the concert.
Qi Xian closed his wallet. When he got up, he met Ye Sui’s eyes. Qi Xian bent his lips and smiled, “You put on a good act back then.”
Ye Sui laughed. “If you don’t work hard, you will be called unprofessional by the netizens.”
She thought that the man should be his father.
Ye Sui’s new team did not respond to the previous rumors about cosmetic surgery, just waiting for an opportunity.
After the recording was finished, the studio put on Ye Sui’s emoticons, all of which were photos of her different expressions in the variety show.
“Even though she’s having these kinds of expressions, she still looks stunning! Wow! Fairy Ye Sui, indeed!”
“Who says our idol had plastic surgery? Ye Sui works so hard on the variety shows, but she’s still criticized by outsiders. Without proper evidence, how can you judge our idol?”
“Stop this nonsense! Just focus on yourself. Thanks to the studio for releasing these photos, which made me very happy today. I have more new emoticons on WeChat.”
“This can prove Ye Sui didn’t have plastic surgery? Does the studio regard me as a fool?”
Ye Sui’s entire face clung tightly to the plastic packaging, deforming her features. Her performance on the variety shows suggested that she was much more competitive than the female celebrities who cherished their beauty.
No actress could tolerate her ugliness being watched by the entire network, and the ridiculous rumors about cosmetic surgery would not be so easily broken. Although some netizens firmly believed this, without being aware, they honestly used Ye Sui’s emoticons.
Those female celebrity teams who had fallen to the bottom also knew that it was futile to use plastic surgery to oppress Ye Sui.
They vaguely noticed that Ye Sui’s team seemed to have become wiser and had stopped taking the initiative to provoke haters. Could it be that she had substituted a person in her team?
Although Ye Sui’s agency had been acquired by Huarui, the news had not been made public.
Chen Shu sat in the office, leafing through the contract that Wang Chuan had given him. Ye Sui had signed a five-year contract with that small company. When she signed it, she was still a newcomer and got a 46% share.
Chen Shu’s brows frowned slightly; 46 percent was too small, and the contract must be altered. He made a phone call to Wang Chuan and told him to change the terms according to his request.
That day, Ye Sui received a text message from Renjie.
“You are now Huarui’s newest artist, and you are selected by them as the key target to promote. So, you need to go there to sign the contract.”
Ye Sui was going to Huarui to sign a new contract. On top of that, it was said that President Chen himself approved the new terms.
When Chen Shu was unprepared, Wang Chuan would let Ye Sui sign the contract and go directly to his office to have a chance encounter with him.
