Chapter 10: Leaving This Place
The three bottles of Dan were all engulfed by Ye Xuan without difficulties. He estimated that he’d only need few goods worth around 500,000 silver taels to break through the middle of the fifth stage of the Martial Dao.
But it’s a pity that though there were many things he could devour, the system found them useless, so he did not receive any points from devouring useless things.
Right now, he was one step closer to breaking through the fifth middle stage. Once he breaks through, he’d be able to sweep the entire Chen Clan’s younger generation in one swop. This kind of talent could only be counted on one hand, even in the entire Splitting Cloud Sect. If he were allowed to enter the sect, he’d receive apt attention and resources to nurture his growth well.
However, 500,000 silver taels was not a small amount.
He had only gotten a total of 20,000 silver taels from Chen Song and Ye Kai, a meager amount. After all, there was no need to bring too much silver taels with them while going out for a stroll.
“Well, this isn’t bad either. As long as I have the money and resources, I can level up as many times. It’ll be much easier when compared to the normal path of cultivation.” Ye Xuan muttered softly. Ye Kai held onto the treasure sword and went back home.
Previously, that unlucky ghost’s dantian was destroyed and he lost all his cultivation. In a desperate effort to recover his cultivation base, Ye Xuan threw and sold away all his belonging, including the sword he snatched from Ye Kai. Truthfully speaking, the sword belonged to him. Ye Xuan had his own plans for the future, and he’d need to use the sword, so he did not devour it.
As for Chen Song’s mess, well, he’d have to clean up the mess.
… … …
On the way back home, Ye Xuan bought a lot of things. He needed to leave Cloud Merge City for a short period.
“Young Master, you’re back.” Liu’er walked out of the house.
“Mnn. Young Master has already avenged you. The sufferings you faced was not for naught. I took off all of Chen Song’s clothing and threw him out on the streets.” Ye Xuan smiled.
When she heard this, Liu’er’s thin lips parted. Ye Xuan was only gone for half an hour, yet he’d already taken his revenge?
“Young Master…” Liu’er’s eyes instantly became moist. Probably, only Ye Xuan, this Young Master, would dare to strip Chen Song and kick him out on the streets.
“Sigh… Liu’er, you’re crying again. This isn’t a big deal.” Ye Xuan caressed Liu’er’s silky hair. Then, he pulled out a small jade bottle from his bosom. “This is healing medicine. Liu’er, use this to tend to your wounds. Also, I brought quite a few things with me. Remember not to go out for the next few days.”
Though Liu’er was only a child, she was not stupid. Anxiously, she asked, “Young Master, where are you going?”
“I need to leave Cloud Merge City for a bit. We have no one to rely on right now, so I want to contact my father’s friend.” Ye Xuan said slowly.
He lied. This was the only good reason he came up with. Though truth be told, he was not going out to look for someone, but to gain experience.
He only had 30,000 silver taels in total and Ye Kai’s treasured sword.
Therefore, he planned to go out and hunt some Demon Beast to sell for precious materials.
“Liu’er will go with you too,” Liu’er replied worriedly.
“Liu’er, don’t be afraid. Young Master has already recovered his strength. In fact, I’m even stronger now! I’ll be back in a while. Remember, while I’m gone, you must not go out.”
For an ordinary girl like Liu’er, staying in the city was much safer. Moreover, the mansion he bought was secluded and there were not many pedestrians. Thus, her safety should be fine.
“Alright, then, Liu’er will wait for you here. Young Master, you must be careful.” Liu’er knew she’d only prove to be a burden to Ye Xuan, so she did not force him to take her with him. If something dangerous were to happen on the way, Ye Xuan would protect her. It was equivalent to carrying extra baggage in his back.
“Alright, then I’ll be going. I’ll be back home as soon as possible.” Ye Xuan repeated as he stroked Liue ’er’s head.
Liu’er nodded and waved at Ye Xuan, her small face revealing a look of reluctance. “Young Master, you have to come back quickly…”
Then, Ye Xuan left.
… … …
After leaving his residence, Ye Xuan headed to the stabled and bought a good horse. As he was going out to train and gain experience, he only brought 10,000 silver taels with hem. The remaining 20,000 was given to Liu’er.
He then went out to the street market and bought things he’d need to train before hurriedly leaving Cloud Merge City.
He reckoned the Ye Clan would search for him day and night throughout the entire Cloud Merge City. After all, he stripped Chen Song, who was at the fourth middle stage of the Martial Dao, naked before throwing him out on the streets.
This could only mean one thing: his cultivation base had been restored.
“Hyahhh!” Ye Xuan mounted his horse and galloped off into the distance.
Though he’d never ridden a horse before transmigrating to this world, Ye Xuan could be considered lucky. That unlucky ghost knew how to ride a horse.
He was journeying to the place called Eighteen Cloud Mountain Range. In that place, there resides countless Demon Beasts.
Ye Xuan was currently in the early fifth stage of the Martial Dao. So long as he does not come across a Demon Beasts of the sixth stage or higher, he should be fine. Furthermore, the more powerful Demon Beasts in the Eighteen Cloud Mountain Range was located in the inner mountain ranges. Ye Xuan only planned to train at the outskirts of the mountain range.
He spent more than a day traveling before finally arriving at the entrance of Eighteen Cloud Mountain Range at dusk. This place was one of the best places to train here. Many people journey to this place to train; however, because it was night, there weren’t many people outside.
“It’s getting late. I should go to rest. I’ll go in tomorrow.”
Ye Xuan thought for a while before sitting down to rest under a tree to take the time to practice his martial skill.
This body was, after all, the number one genius from the Ye Clan. The martial arts skill he trained was of high ranking. But Ye Xuan was only an ordinary man who transmigrated over to this dog eat dog world. He did not know anything, much less a high ranking martial arts skill.
However, after a few sets of practice along with the combat techniques that unlucky ghost had, he could consider his battle prowess not bad at all.
The next day, he woke up before dawn and entered Eighteen Cloud Mountain Range.
Soon as he went in, Ye Xuan came across a green-skinned wild boar.
According to his memories, this Demon Beast was called the Green-Haired Pig. Its strength was at the second level, equivalent to a cultivator at the second stage of the Martial Dao.
“Tch! A single punch will send you to your grave.”
Ye Xuan did not pull out his sword and directly smashed his fist onto the Green-Haired Pig Demon Beat, sending it to face death early on.
“There are ten stages in the Martial Dao. Each stage can increase the strength of a cultivator by 100 jin. A casual punch of mine has the strength of 600 – 700 jin. In addition to the boost from the Level 2 Martial Arts Back Connecting Fist, I should be able to kill a Demon Beast at third level or below with one punch!”
