Chapter 22: Corpse Tide (2)
A Lu Yin slaughtered the zombies, the communication device on his waist let out a panicked sound.
“Boss, southwest is about to collapse!”
Startled, Lu Yin jumped. Stepping on the zombie’s head, he rushed southwest. Sure enough, there were countless fallen soldiers.
What was going on?
“Boss, there’s a strange zombie lurking. It’s powerful. Even a Mortal Realm captain was no match for it,” Xu San reported. He stood on the top of the rooftop, keen eyes watching from the sidelines during the entire battle.
Lu Yin landed on the ground, aiming at the intersection of both the soldiers and zombies. His iron rod chopped down viciously. It sliced dozens of flesh one after another, creating a clear, distinct line of both zombies and soldiers.
Within the dividing line, countless soldiers retreated as they stared fearfully at the scene. Less than fifty of them had died.
And with a bang, the iron rod in Lu Yin’s hand broke in two.
As Lu Yin’s strength rose, the iron rod could no longer withstand a single hit from him.
“Captain, be careful!” Someone cried out in alarm.
The surrounding area was flooded with zombies. There were at least a hundred thousand of them.
Lu Yin performed the Heavenly Star Technique. Soon, the Star Energy formed a shockwave, causing the surrounding ten meters to be wiped out. All the zombies were pushed back, except for one who was able to withstand Lu Yin’s energy force. It stood firmly on the ground, staring intently at Lu Yin.
“Boss, that’s him! He killed quite a few of our soldiers!” Xu San’s voice echoed from the communication device.
Lu Yin’s eyes widened as he looked at the long-haired zombie in front of him. This was no ordinary zombie. No, this zombie had intelligence.
Zombies producing intelligence, it was quite a surprise.
Lu Yin looked at the zombie only two meters away from him. The feeling of those pair of scarlet eyes was no zombie, but it was.
Without waiting for Lu Yin, the long-haired zombie dashed forward, its claws reaching out towards Lu Yin.
Lu Yin dodged. The long-haired zombies’ claws unintentionally tore apart the remaining zombies.
The strength of this zombie was far beyond that of Kang Dafeng and Luo Yun. If anything, it was comparable to Zhao Yu.
Lu Yin stared at the long-haired zombie’s attack trajectory. There was a pattern. Though it seemed chaotic, his attack couldn’t penetrate the wind. If he hadn’t seen it with his own eyes, Lu Yin wouldn’t have believed that the one attacking him was a zombie.
The long-haired zombie let out a low roar as it turned around to flee.
Lu Yin stared at the white silk on the long-haired zombie’s back.
Suddenly, Lu Yin thought of a premonition he had during the day. This zombie was the one that lured Kang Dafeng to the building. This zombie, he was an intelligent creature.
Lu Yin had no time to think. He threw out half of his broken iron rod. It pierced through the void and landed on the long-haired zombie’s abdomen. The zombie let out an ear-deafening roar and turned its head to stare at Lu Yin before fleeing south.
The surrounding corpse tide roared as if it had been provoked. All of them stood in front of Lu Yin.
“Xu San, tell me the location of that zombie!” Lu Yin shouted.
Xu San’s voice sounded off from the communication device. “Boss, he turned towards west from a hundred meters away. That’s the road we came from.”
The muscles on Lu Yin’s legs tensed up. HIs figure disappeared immediately. In the same place Lu Yin once stood, a blur was seen.
Xu San looked at the scene in shock.
Was this a battle skill? It was too magical!
Lu Yin rushed out of the corpse tide encirclement and followed the path he the long-haired zombies escaped. But there was no trace of him.
“Boss, I can’t see him anymore,” Xu San said.
Lu Yin believed that so long as he finished off the long-haired zombie will the corpse tide be over. If he wasn’t mistaken, that intelligent-like zombie should be the King commanding the corpse tide to surround him. This Zombie King, he wanted to exterminate the army, and Kang Dafeng was the first on his list.
