Chapter 9: My Stepmother and Her Daughter (2)
“You can’t eat anymore.”
Gu Yuanyuan: “…”
Gu Yuanyuan immediately felt a bit ashamed and guilty about her previous behavior. She was afraid that her son might think that she ate too much than normal.
But, she was just really trying to avoid wasting food.
“If you eat too much, it will cause a burden to your stomach. And if this keeps up, it will weaken your digestive system. Moreover, it can become a little more severe to the point that it can destroy the balance of the body from the inside.” Dr. Gu directly explained it to her, and he resumed, “When it comes to eating, it’s not advisable for someone to overeat. You need to eat in moderation, and you should maintain the proper amount of diet.”
Having said that, he took a glance at Lin Shaosi again.
Lin Shaosi: “…”
Why are you looking at me like that? I am really doing this for my work, so don’t criticize me for it.
“…It is best to restrict your food intake at only seven to eight parts full.” Gu Yizhou said as he further explain his point.
However, Gu Yuanyuan had a feeling that she had eaten about twelve parts full already.
After saying that, Gu Yizhou lightly asked, “Do you have a phone in you right now?”
The first second, they talked about how eating too much is bad for the body, and then, the next second, the topic was suddenly shifted to the phone. Following this kind of Erbao’s line of thoughts, Gu Yuanyuan could only shake her head in the process.
Back that time in the hospital, there was a mobile phone in the ward, but she didn’t dare take it. Who knows whether or not, that pervert Lu Wenchen installed some kind of location tracking device on that mobile phone.
Unsurprisingly, Gu Yizhou pulled out a small note from his pocket, along with the palm-size lead pencil—which is one of the standard things that he would always take with him whenever he went out.
Gu Yizhou wrote something on it before he handed it to Gu Yuanyauan. She took a glance at it, and she saw a series of numbers. Then afterward, she heard Gu Yizhou’s slightly cold voice in her ears, “This is my phone number. If something happened and it’s not convenient to call the police, you can just directly call me.”
After he finished talking, he did not wait for Gu Yuanyuan’s response before he got up and walked out. Lin Shaosi also stood up and began to touch up his pockets for something. Then he pulled out a small card that stated the address of this hotpot restaurant they’re currently in.
“This hotpot restaurant was started and opened by me. And the number written on that card is my personal number.” He put the card on the table and followed Gu Yizhou. But, after only taking two steps, Lin Shaosi turned back and quickly said, “Remember to call the police.”
Gu Yuanyuan couldn’t catch up to their abrupt actions, but anyway, she already had their contact numbers in her hands. Hence, it’s not too late for her to contact them after she had completely dealt with all of her personal affairs.
Outside the private box, Cheng Man’an was the only one that could be seen sitting on the couch right now. Her mother, Chen Yun, was not with her as she was persuaded to go back by her own daughter. Cheng Man’an had to closely keep an eye on Gu Yuanyuan as to not let her run away anymore.
After seeing Gu Yizhou and Lin Shaosi came out from their private box, her eyes slightly flashed into an eye-smile, and she quickly got up from her seat to meet them.
She put on a perfect smile on her face. A delicate smile that she deliberately learned in her life. It was a smile that would not appear too fake, nor would it appear too soft and too weak like a white lotus. There was a hint of gentleness on it like a standard womanly smile.
Even though the two men had not paid much attention to her on the private box earlier, she believed that they would surely pay attention to her at of this moment.
Only with the attention would lead something to a further development.
“Mr…” Cheng Man’an only uttered a single word from her mouth when Gu Yizhou just simply walked passed in front of her as if he did he didn’t see her. Moreover, even Lin Shaosi didn’t give her a look.
The expression on Cheng Ma’an’s face almost drained from the sudden bewilderment she just experienced. But as she was a shrewd person with a hidden deep, she soon buried her emotions inside of her, not letting anyone notice it. She gently turned around and looked back at the two men with no expression on her eyes. However, her hands that’s were merely hanging on her sides, tightly clenched from anger.
“You really waited for me?” A female’s clear voice suddenly resounded behind her. “Alright, now that I’m already full, let’s go.”
Cheng Man’an looked around to face Gu Yuanyuan with a smile on her face. “Xiao Jiu, Mom went back first. Right now, she and dad are waiting for you back home. Dad would be very happy to see you again after a long time.”
Towards this so-called father of hers, Gu Yuanyuan couldn’t remember anything about him. All she knew was just the fact that he liked his cheap daughter more than his biological daughter, which he treated with an indifferent attitude. Therefore, she presumed that her father is not a good person.
However, she had been transmigrated many times already, and she had seen so many types of father along the way. That’s why, even though she couldn’t remember the specific memories in her mind, she was not flustered and didn’t panic as she was not in a hurry to find it all out.
After sitting inside the car, in order to maintain the facade of a gentle and loving older sister, Cheng Man’an carefully explained the detail of why she was at the restaurant in the first place. As it turned out, she was friends with the owner of the restaurant, and they invited her to play the piano to add a romantic and soothing atmosphere to the restaurant.
Coincidentally, the car that they were using right now was also lent to them by the restaurant owner.
After hearing this, Gu Yuanyuan innocently asked, “Older sister, is that restaurant owner pursuing you right now?”
