Chapter 16: Audition (2)
He asked, “What is the relationship between that girl and you?”
Lin Shaosi was considered a child star. He started filming very early. Many people grew up watching his drama’s. There were many rumors in the circle, but none have been confirmed.
If Gu Yuanyuan was Lin Shaosi’s girlfriend, her attitude would naturally change.
Lin Shaosi: “Didn’t I say my assistant?”
Xu Bai: “Don’t hide anything in front of me, if she is your girlfriend …”
“Stop.” Lin Shaosi rolled his eyes. “I’m not a pervert. Don’t worry, she and I are not in the relationship you’re thinking of.”
Meanwhile, Gu Yuanyuan didn’t know that Sanbao was fighting for her sake. She was immersed in the sea of the script Deadly Strike at the moment—she couldn’t even remember the last time she worked so hard.
She first read the outline of the script. The film mainly tells the story of the male lead who was abducted as a child and sold into a killer organization. After cruel training, he became a top killer.
The organization arranged for him to perform various tasks. He killed a lot of people. In his concept, there was no right or wrong, only the living and the dead.
It was not until the male lead received a mission to destroy an official’s family of five. However, after he killed four people he found the daughter, Xiao Qi, in the wardrobe. While he was preparing to kill Xiao Qi, he turned soft hearted.
Because Xiao Qi’s eyes looked exactly like his sister’s in his memory.
Xiao Qi saw his family die by the male lead’s hand. Facing his gun, she didn’t show fear or scream. She just looked at him calmly and seemed to know it was her end.
The rules laid down by the killer organization stated that a task must be completed after being assigned. If they violated the rules or betrayed the organization then that person would be hunted down.
Killer K escaped with Xiao Qi. In the process of escaping, Killer K only knew that he had killed a particularly good official. He began to realize that he was trapped in a conspiracy and began to reflect on whether he had done what was right.
At this time, he was pursued by two sides, one by the killer organization and the other by the police.
He wanted to protect Xiao Qi and in the process of escaping he was abruptly injured seriously.
After Xiao Qi had escaped with his help, he seldom spoke, but when he was seriously injured and exhausted, she did not kill him for revenge, instead she saved him from his injury.
At the end of the day, Killer K uprooted the whole killer organization and turned himself in with Xiao Qi. He was sentenced to death and Xiao Qi personally executed him.
In fact, there were not many spoken scenes in this drama, most of this were Killer K and enemy scenes. The screenwriter was very good. The scene description of the fighting scenes were especially vivid. Gu Yuanyuan only read several pages yet she became intensely immersed.
Moreover, the drama did not clearly indicate what the feeling between Killer K and Xiao Qi was. You could say it was love, but not quite. Not really a love between brother and sister either. The writer’s intention was more to let the audience imagine what kind it was.
It’s just that the final result was too depressing.
No wonder it’s called Deadly Strike.
Gu Yuanyuan wiped away her tears from her eyes and began to read each part of the drama carefully. She was also a person who had transversed many times. Although she had not acted in earnest, she believed in herself.
She simply thought of herself as Xiao Qi and looked at the script from Xiao Qi’s point of view. It was more like watching a documentary film, which could make her understand the role faster.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the door. Gu Yuanyuan didn’t hear it at all. Then, with a click, the door was pushed open. Gu Yuanyuan came back to her senses and looked up.
“Xiao Jiu.” Cheng Man’An had a look of “You’re actually here.” What did you do to Third Master?
Due to her eagerness and anger, Chen Man’An almost forgot to put on her gentle sister mask. Fortunately, she reacted so much that her face became distorted.
The interrupted Gu Yuanyuan was in a very bad mood. She looked coldly at Cheng Man’An. “Didn’t your mother teach you the most basic etiquette to knock on the door before entering?”
Cheng Man’An gritted her teeth: “I knocked, but you didn’t hear it!”
