Chapter 7: Taken by a Giant Cat
The arm that Pot accidentally poked was no longer bleeding at the moment. Moreover, the blood had also dried up since the wound scabbed over. Not only that, but the bloody scent had also dispersed and couldn’t be smelled any longer.
However, disregarding everything, she still tried to look up at the huge figure in front of her. And finally, she could clearly see what kind of animal was standing before her.
It’s really a cat! A huge gray-haired cat!
While she was stunned at the sight of such a huge cat, Wells was looking down at Lu Qiu. He found that the hairless monkey was even smaller than the one he had seen on the device screen. With the exception of the long hair on her head, her body was so smooth. Her skin was very thin as if it could break with almost a touch.
And though he didn’t understand why for some reason he really wanted to scratch Lu Qiu’s skin, just for a little bit.
But he quickly stopped the thought in his head and quietly retracted his paw. For a moment, he looked contemplative as he thought before he nodded his head.
Meanwhile, Lu Qiu surprisingly felt an unprecedented calm. Although she felt that Pot had been oppressed by the giant cat and that she should be concerned for her safety, unexpectedly there was no fear in her heart.
Thus, she calmly watched as the giant cat’s slightly moist nose tip approached her. She looked on as the whiskers on his mouth almost poked her when he swayed his head, making her hand itched to touch. So, her finger unconsciously moved, trying to touch the beard.
However, the giant cat suddenly stopped about thirty centimeters above her head, dark red nose twitching as if it had smelled something.
Lu Qiu then saw the giant cat freeze for two seconds as his round eyes slowly squinted into a pair of dead fish eyes. His entire back and tail were also straight and stiff as if he was prepared to pounce.
At that moment, while everything was frozen, he suddenly reacted. He raised his head and turned to the side. He opened his mouth widely as his tongue stuck out, gagging in pain.
“Oug! Oug!” (gagging sound)
Lu Qiu: “… ????? !!!”
Is my face that disgusting to the point it makes the cat sick?!
She thought, feeling hurt, but suddenly a thought came to her mind. She then lifted her hair and put it under her nose, sniffing it. And she gagged. In hindsight, it was obvious what made the big cat gagging. There was an extremely strong smell sticking to her. The smell was similar to something that hadn’t been cleaned for 800 years and had been fully fermented.
Not only the big cat, but even she was also unable to bear the smell. As such, her tears involuntarily fell again.
Lu Qiu suddenly remembered everything she had gone through. The fact that she was caught by the giant wolf, then placed in his mouth where she was soaked by his smelly saliva came to her mind again.
And she realized her sense of smell had temporarily failed her since she was soaked with the stench for too long. Therefore, she was unable to notice her body’s stink for a while.
At this realization, Lu Qiu right now would go as far as to apologize to the cat. After all, her awful smell had assaulted the innocent cat’s nose and caused it pain.
After vomiting for a while until nothing came out, Wells stepped back with narrow eyes. His mouth was slightly pulled down with eyes filled with disgust and indifference. However, he didn’t attack her.
Instead, he stared at Lu Qiu for a while with a hesitant expression, as if contemplating whether he should take her away with him or not.
But after looking for a while, he noticed her shivering in the ground covered with fallen leaves. So, he reluctantly stretched out his claws. Then, with the help of the stretched claws, she was carried upside down towards the tree.
Wells then looked back, as if greeting Pot before he looked away. He didn’t intend to save Pickley at all. And it was also impossible for him to pay the wolf any money since he had to directly come to get his new pet. As such, he directly left, carrying Lu Qiu with him.
Before Lu Qiu could react, she was already carried up to the tree. Furthermore, the giant cat’s movement was extremely fast. She felt like she was riding a roller coaster, only there was no protection as assurance.
And she could assure people that this wasn’t exciting at all. In fact, this was extremely frightening!
Swaying on the tops of various trees more than 40 meters above the ground while rotating 360 degrees like a windmill… was something Lu Qiu had never wanted to experience. But, in the end, she had no choice but to experience it anyway. So, she felt that the decibel of her scream right now could almost break the eardrums.
However, just when she thought she couldn’t bear any more dizziness and nausea… the claws that had been stuck on her leg suddenly loosened its hold and released her.
Lu Qiu felt she was falling straight down from a high place at the fastest speed.
The giant cat had thrown her from such a high place!
And as she fell, her hair was blown by the wind, fluttering towards her face, carrying with it the strong smell that made one gagged reflexively.
With no other choice, she covered her mouth and nose with her hands, closing her eyes tightly as she did so.
Even if I am about to die, I can’t let myself die from the smell.
The water splashed from the crash.
Lu Qiu opened her eyes in amazement. She found herself still alive, having fallen into an endless river.
And before her face submerged into the water, she saw something standing on a huge branch, quietly looking down at her. It was a giant gray cat.
