Chapter 15 - Filling in The Gaps
Suddenly, a scene from that night came to mind.
It was the image of Doseon underneath him, his nape flushed red. As he peered down in his delirious state, Heerak thought that it was cute. If they were facing each other, he might have impulsively kissed.
He would probably never be able to remember all of the memories that were wiped away that night. It was useless to continue blaming alcohol for it. There remained a couple of things that he was still uneasy about. Putting aside the fact that he had s*x, Heerak was itching to know what led up to that point. When he came to, he was already deep inside this man’s hole. That would have only been possible if he got hard to this man.
Oh, speaking of which.
As he combed through his thoughts, Heerak let out a groan. Doseon looked his way, curious at why the thus-far-silent director groaned.
“I was panicked this whole time, so I wasn’t thinking straight.”
“It’s a bit late to ask, but… No, it might be pointless to ask, but I’ll ask anyway.”
“Were you all right after that night?”
“Sorry? What do you mean?”
“What do you think? I’m talking about your body. Were you hurt anywhere? You said I was your first.”
Doseon, who was listening quietly, let out a faint “ah…” He blinked a couple of times, as if he finally understood what Heerak meant.
“I wasn’t hurt anywhere. I was really all right.”
Heerak let out a deep sigh.
“There’s no way you would be all right. Based on what little I remember, I just did whatever I wanted to do.”
This person was a beta.
Unlike omegas, he did not react to alpha pheromones. Alpha pheromones would not make the deepest parts of him get wet. The pleasure was probably not the only thing Doseon felt by having an alpha, blinded with desire, shove his member deep inside.
Did he even use enough lubrication? No, that didn’t seem likely. In his mental state, he mistook him for an omega. Then, what if he just started to poke about without any foreplay? Thinking back on how difficult it was to get in that night, it seemed more and more likely that this was how that night played out.
Heerak turned pale.
This was not the kind of thought he should be having while driving. He decided to stop thinking for now. He felt a curious look in his direction, but Heerak kept his eyes on the road. If he tried to say anything now, he felt like he would blurt out some outrageous nonsense.
Headline: The drunk executive director, Heerak Cho, invited a man to bed.
This alone was a problem if it leaked.
“He seduced me, so I slept with him, but he had no manners in bed. He just shoved his thing inside, and my body couldn’t take it. I pretended to be in agony while he was shoving it in, but the director didn’t even listen. Since he was black-out drunk and not thinking straight, he paid no attention to my pleas.”
Everything about this was problematic. If this too was leaked, wouldn’t this be the worst-case scenario?
His head throbbed.
Heerak massaged his temples and let out a sigh.
What did Seokchan say? He said this person didn’t seem like someone who needed to be silenced. Heerak strongly denied that in front of his secretary, but deep inside, he could agree to some part of it. While Seokchan made that judgment based on his impression after meeting him, Heerak made his determination after observing how this situation unfolded.
If Doseon intended to use this incident to earn a quick buck, his attitude didn’t make sense. If he considered this to be a godsent opportunity and approached the drunk director, he would not have asked for just 40,000 won when Heerak offered to give him anything. Moreover, that number was barely squeezed out after Heerak pressured him.
Even so, he kept imagining the worst-case situation possible. He could not help it.
“There’s nobody in this world who could reject your advances, Executive Director.”
The first time he heard that, it was so unexpected that he burst out laughing. Thinking about it again, he could not just laugh about it. When he thought through that night’s events logically, not being able to refuse his advances could not be the only reason for sleeping with him. That was what Heerak thought, at least.
Therefore, he thought that this stone-faced man had some sort of ulterior motive. His calm and composed face could just be a façade. Turning down his dinner invitation three times could be a scheme to get Heerak to sleep with him again. As soon as that thought crossed his mind, he let out a scoff.
“It feels like I’ve become paranoid or something.”
He muttered to himself, and Doseon, who was sitting up straight, responded.
“Excuse me? Director, did you say something to me?”
“No, it’s nothing. Just talking to myself.”
After aimlessly circling around, they arrived at their destination. Even though he asked what Doseon liked, the location was as good as decided.
They entered the Italian restaurant that Seokchan made a reservation in earlier. The staff guided them into a private room, where the two sat across from each other. Silence hung in the air.
Heerak carefully observed the other’s rigid face. Doseon did not look like he wanted to meet eyes with Heerak and focused on the small vase on the table. And so, Heerak could observe the other man as much as he wanted to.
