Chapter 12 - Wedding Night (19+)

“Truly impressive. Aren’t you afraid of me?”

“There’s nothing more frightening than death. I want to live if possible.” She stated.

Edna was someone who knew what death was. She couldn’t forget the images of those who had died before her eyes. It was the same with Eli. There was nothing more ridiculous to Eli than hearing someone say that they’d rather die. 

Death was the end of everything. Eli himself knew better than anyone how weak a man was when facing the moment of his death. It was clear that she, who said she wanted to live, knew what death was, too.

“Those are some interesting words. You want to live?” 

Swallowing dry saliva, Edna added. “If possible.”

“I’ll think about it if you satisfy me.” And then, as soon he dropped those words, Eli grabbed her roughly by her hair and tightly locked her in his arms. He then ravaged her exposed body and softly whispered, “I will have to see just how great you are now to decide if you’re really worth keeping alive.”

Edna’s heart skipped a beat as Eli swung her around and pushed her against the wall. her panic-stricken body hardened.

“You can’t be like this. Come on, you must accept me.” He murmured, his voice sending goosebumps all over her body. Holding her arms in one hand, Eli caressed her skin with his lips from the nape of her neck downward.

He had already concluded that Edna would not be a virgin. Viscount William, who was brazen enough to send an illegitimate child to be Eli’s bride instead of Anna, could not have cared to send a virgin. Rather, he would have sent the most promiscuous woman.

Eli stroked her slender back with one hand and crudely fondled the rest of her with the other. Edna closed her eyes tightly shut and tried to calm her frightened heart as he took a hastened break to shed his clothes off. Eli neared her back again. His bare skin came in contact with her back and she felt the movement of his enthusiastic manhood around her waist. Edna took a deep breath and willed herself to endure the disgrace she was facing.

‘Please, let me endure this. Please.’

Letting out a harsh breath, he measured her whole body with his lips. Her smooth skin smelled better the more he touched it. He felt her flinch as he stimulated her, sticking her back flush against his skin.

If he had a wife, the king would no longer bother him about marriage. Furthermore, the vigilance of other lords would be eased if he was married to a woman of humble origin, and not the viscount’s daughter since an illegitimate daughter couldn’t contribute to his power. And didn’t she stimulate his desire from the beginning?

Eli intended to provoke her despite having already made up his mind to accept her, just like he had been dealing with other women. No, he was going to push her even harder and make her more scared so that she would pay the price for her deception.

When he forced her legs apart, Edna’s tears fell to the floor. Undaunted by severe violence, she was concerned that her chastity, which she had protected for the past 18 years, was about to be stripped away from her.

At Edna’s unresponsive attitude, Eli put his body over his shoulder and threw her over the bed. He climbed over her before Edna could come to her senses. As he took her without delay, the tremendous jolt of pain from the assault stole a shriek from Edna’s mouth.

Eli stopped breathing. She was really a virgin. He regretted handling her aggressively at the unbelievable revelation. But for a moment, feeling her hot body, he began to be immersed in the feeling. The sight of her biting her lip, head turned sideways, and enduring the pain further stimulated him. With an unbearable thrill, Eli breathed out a rough breath, savoring the flavor of her.

With his face buried in her chest and his arms tightly hugging her, Edna’s teeth gnashed at each of his relentless thrusts. His coarse breath drenched her chest, and he tightened his hold on her with an immeasurable force, making it hard to breathe.

Eli indulged in the intense pleasure that captivated him. The uncontrollable sheer delight enclosed him in. He couldn’t believe it. He had never imagined that such a feeling existed. Eli groaned and fiercely attacked her lips. He felt a tingling pain at the impact with her teeth, but he didn’t care and poured all of him into her through their intertwined lips.

Eli found a bloodstain on her thigh and turned his head away as his erratic breathing evened out. Then he put on his clothes that were on the floor and went outside.

Face buried in a pillow, Edna heard him leave. However, she had no strength left to pick up her clothes off the floor, nor to pull the blanket over her body.

Edna, who had been lying face-down for a long while, slowly rose and wept uncontrollably. Covering her mouth with both hands, she shrunk her shoulders and let her long-held tears loose.

Edna did not cry when she first ran away. The same was true when she was beaten severely after becoming a maid. She was never daunted by the violent assault of the knights she had experienced in the viscount’s castle. But that was not the case now. She had been preparing herself for it ever since it was decided she would come here instead of Anna, but she never imagined it would be this horrible and scary.

Edna rose out of bed and went into the already cold tub. She began to wash herself stiffly, frowning at the biting pain. But she only focused on the fact that she was still alive.
