Chapter 44 - Cohabitation
Keith’s mansion was in the opposite direction from my neighborhood. I had visited this place a few times before, albeit for work. Whenever I did, I became overwhelmed by its enormity and usually escaped—practically fled—the building as soon as I was done with my business. Part of the reason, of course, was the lingering scent of Keith’s pheromones that was spread throughout the entire place even when he wasn’t home. When I got back home on those days, I always stroked and relieved myself without fail.
Even though it was an emergency, it logically didn’t make sense at all for me to walk into this mansion by my own volition. Despite knowing this, however, I did. I forcibly justified to myself that this was the only way to stop my panic attacks.
A sudden chill went down my spine and I shivered. This was real. The thoughts in my head immediately tangled themselves together. I came all the way here, blinded by my love for Keith, but the ultimate reason lay elsewhere. Keith couldn’t help but make this choice.
It was me.
It was because I had lost consciousness.
I desperately grabbed onto my conscience that was swimming back to that night’s memories. I clenched onto my breath which was getting faster every second and frantically flipped through my memories. Something else. I had to think about something else, something that could erase the memories of that incident.
What I felt in my mouth at that moment wasn’t the disgusting texture of some man’s shaft. It was the strong scent of pheromones and the skillfulness of the tongue that weaved through my mouth. It was that vile kiss—his tongue intertwining with mine, him making love to the tender flesh inside my mouth, his numbing bites all over my lips as our saliva mixed.
I squeezed my eyes shut. I no longer felt the repulsion of that time in my mouth. What remained in my mouth now was his deathly sweet scent, soft lips, and, oh, his cruel tongue.
The mere thought of it almost pulled me into my heat cycle. I fumbled for my meds and stuffed them into my mouth without even water. From now on, this would be my daily life. I would suck Keith’s pheromones that were dispersed in the air with my whole body, like a fallen leaf rolling around on a rainy day.
Despite that, even as I waited for the medicine to be absorbed into my system, I divided my breaths and breathed slowly so that his pheromones could enter me even just a little deeper. I counted my breaths with my entire body every time I inhaled and exhaled.
Before I knew it, I was lying on the carpet. My pulse gradually subsided and silence finally settled in once more. I gently closed my eyes. Keith’s scent was roaming everywhere. Feeling a sense of immorality as if I had been ravished by him, I came.
I was woken up by the knocking. When I opened my eyes, I was confused for a moment. I stupidly blinked my eyes before finally coming to my senses and rushing to sit on the edge of the bed, pretending to check my phone. Right at that moment, Charles opened the door and walked in. He had the clothes that I had worn yesterday slung over his forearm.
“The meal should be ready soon, Yeonwoo. Would you like me to bring it to your room, or will you be coming downstairs?”
His solemn and formal tone hastened my answer.
“Oh, um… I’ll come down.”
Charles explained indifferently, “Come to the tearoom at the end of the second floor hallway. Mr. Pittman always has his breakfast there. However, if you would rather eat separately… I will show you to a different room.”
“Oh, no. It’s okay. I’ll go to the tearoom. Thank you.” When I rushed to thank him, Charles gave me a quick nod and hung my clothes over the backrest of the chair. He soon turned around and left the room. As I heard the door gently close shut, I immediately started to get ready. Making Keith wait was unthinkable. I rushed myself so that I could arrive at the tearoom before him.
