Chapter 93: Digging Up the Past (1)
Xiao Tian stood up and patted the dirt on his chest with his hand. He looked at Lin Xinyu with contempt and said, “It’s been a few years since we last met, and you’re still like that?”
“I couldn’t beat you in the past. Do you want to try me now?” Lin Xinyu asked.
With a mocking voice, Xiao Tian answered, “No thanks. Your kick didn’t even sting.”
Lin Xinyu used his body to protect Lin Xin and laughed.
“The next time I see you pestering Lin Xin, it won’t be just a kick.”
Xiao Tian laughed heartily.
“Don’t be so naive. This time was an accident. Next, you won’t be so lucky.”
Lin Xinyu said, “Sure, I’ll wait for you. I want to see how long your luck lasts.”
At this time, Lin Xin pulled the corner of Lin Xinyu’s shirt and softly said, “Let’s go back.”
She felt that there was no need to be involved further with Xiao Tian.
Lin Xinyu had long prepared himself to fight Xiao Tian. But seeing her anxious to return home, he gave up on the idea and turned around to walk back.
Xiao Tian wanted to tell Lin Xinyu not to be arrogant but the other party had already turned around and left. He still hadn’t repaid Lin Xinyu for kicking him and now Lin Xinyu had ignored him again. After the two had entered their neighborhood, he called his assistant and said, “I want all the information on Lin Xin and Lin Xinyu throughout the last few years.”
Lin Xin could look down on him. But what qualifies that mentally retarded child who couldn’t even speak properly?
Xiao Tian was so angry his teeth hurt. He picked up his phone and threw it at the windshield.
The force made it bounce back and hit the passenger side, smashing the phone into pieces.
Very quickly, Xiao Tian received information about Lin Xin and Lin Xinyu. He found out that not long after he left, they were adopted together; there was nothing special about this event.
The assistant sent someone to check with the prison where Li Ya was locked in, and ask him about Lin Xin’s life in the orphanage. But as soon as he went in, Li Ya went mad and murmured, “Devil! Devil! I didn’t! I didn’t.” As soon as the people who visited mentioned Lin Xin, he would be horrified and say, “A devil, a devil! Don’t believe her.” There wasn’t anything left for them to ask.
From these words, Xiao Tian deduced that Li Ya didn’t violate her.
Then why did she…? And how about Lin Xinyu?
Xiao Tian could not understand all this information. He continued to flip through the file he received until he got to the final page.
In it was a list of all the people related to them.
Zhao Zihao, 19 years old, came out of the orphanage when he was 14 and was later adopted by someone. A gang member, just a lowly underling.
Another person on the list, Wu Anan, caught his attention because of her family tree.
Xiao Tian narrowed his eyes, pointed at Zhao Qiang’s photo, and said, “Bring him here.”
Zhao Qiang was dragged out of bed while he was still sleeping. He didn’t even have time to curse before he was brought before Xiao Tian.
