Happily Scolded Part (II)
Noticing that Bai Qigyan made no effort to defend herself, Bai Xiaojin doubled her efforts in offending her cousin and was very happy with her sarcasm.
However, once she noticed Bai Qingyan’s expression, her back stiffened and she couldn’t help but tremble, scared. Since when were this damn woman’s eyes so scary?
Not far away from that scene, a luxury car was parked. A handsome man leaned against it, smoking, his face as cold as an ice sculpture. The parking lot was dark and the dim light of the cigarette between his slender fingers was clearly visible.
A man and a woman stood beside him. Hearing the noises coming from the two arguing people, the woman immediately stepped forward to intervene, but the man leaning against the car stopped her.
“Wait a minute.” The man waved at her and the woman returned to her previous position.
Gu Yezhi finished smoking, threw the rest of the cigarette on the ground and crushed it, then strode toward the elevator entrance.
Xue Ying and Xue Yan shared a look of pity. That woman dared to bully their Boss’s wife, she was truly shameless. Was she already tired of living? She became unlucky the moment their Boss decided to step in, the consequences were going to be serious.
Meanwhile, Bai Qingyan tried to suppress her anger. She stared at Bai Xiaojin coldly, sneering, “Cousin, have you been in business for several years? Do you have more than one million Weibo fans, perhaps?”
Bai Qingyan had no talent? When she was still in school, the reason all her teachers liked her so much was because of her talent! Whenever a company came to the school searching for new talents, the first person to be recommended was Bai Qingyan. However, she wasn’t impatient like so many others and had wanted to learn the basic skills until perfection, so she refused every offer.
She wanted to be an actress, not an endorser or a model.
“Bai Qingyan, you bitch! What did you say!?” Bai Xiaojin’s pride was wounded and she got even angrier. She wasn’t very famous now, but fame needed both strength and opportunity.
She grabbed Bai Qingyan’s arm as she shouted hysterically, “It doesn’t matter if my Weibo fans are more or less than yours! You’re just a bitch who doesn’t even know who her father is! What qualifications do you have to say anything about me!?”
Bai Qingyan merely stared at Bai Xiaojin as she clenched her fist even tighter in hatred. She was reaching her limit.
“Oh, I know why you came to GT Entertainment! You really are just like your mother. She was a cheap woman and got herself pregnant, and you’re cheap like her, isn’t that why you’re here? You came to guard a tree-stump, waiting to lure some idiot old man so you can hug his thighs, right?”
While Bai Xiaojin hurled those insults at her face, all Bai Qingyan could think of was, ‘She’s going too far.’
Bai Qingyan had always been very beautiful. Even from childhood the people around her commented on her beauty and weren’t exaggerating when they affirmed that she’d marry into a good family.
When she thought of Bai Qingyan as a bald old man’s mistress, Bai Xiaojin’s mood improved and she relaxed. But she had already gone too far.
“Bai Xiaojin! Don’t insult my mother!” Bai Qingyan saw red, she was furious. She grabbed Bai Xiaojin’s arm and, just as she prepared to strike her, a tall figure surrounded her and Bai Xiaojin suddenly flew backward.
“AH-” Bai Xiaojin screamed miserably. She bumped into a car then fell on the ground.
The tall figure was Gu Yezhi, who came over and kicked Bai Xiaojin away from Bai Qingyan. He seemed like he was possessed by an Asura, his whole body emitted a murderous aura. He didn’t look at Bai Qingyan, merely embraced her as he walked straight toward Bai Xiaojin, stomping on her leg with force.
Bai Qingyan didn’t even blink at how Bai Xiaojin flew away. When she saw Gu Yezhi, she knew it.
Gu Yezhi was famous for being protective. In the previous life, Bai Qingyan was not criticized for her family situation, but Gu Yezhi was overbearing. He forbade everyone from even mentioning anything and no one dared to say a word about it in front of him or Bai Qingyan.
Whoever dared, would pay a heavy price.
