Chapter 9: Can I Sleep With You? (9)
In Sheng Zhiyu’s view, she was just the type he preferred, and was better than the women from Beiguo Kingdom. What was more, his brother seemed to be very keen of this little slave… it was definitely not as simple as carnal desire.
Sheng Qianmo took a sip of his tea, and said lightly, “You should pay more thought to Seventh Brother’s matter, instead of an insignificant thing like this.”
When it came to the matter of their Seventh Brother, Sheng Zhiyu was angry.
“Fourth Brother, I was right! Seventh Brother was really foolish! He was caught red-handed by Emperor’s Brother during the incident, which really serves him right!
“Seventh Brother actually dared to lay his hands on his women. Although he was only lightly punished, Noble Lady Xin was unexpectedly subjected to death by a thousand cuts secretly . I don’t think this was quite reasonable…”
“The Emperor’s brother is proud, so his actions are not the least bit unnatural.”
Sheng Qianmo didn’t want to discuss this anymore with Sheng Zhiyu. Instead, he talked with him for a while about the war in Northern Xinjiang before trying to drive him away.
Sheng Zhiyu laughed, “Keke! Fourth Brother, now that you have a new pet, it seems like you can’t wait for me to leave, huh?”
Sheng Qianmo smiled, and asked, “Is it so obvious?”
Sheng Zhiyu shook his head sarcastically, “If you tried it could not be more obvious.”
Sheng Qianmo softly retorted, “Then why aren’t you leaving?”
Sheng Zhiyu jumped to his feet and pointed at him, then turned and walked away indignantly.
On the way out, Sheng Zhiyu saw Shu Nuan who was still watering the flowers in the courtyard. He wanted to chat a little with her, but just as he was about to go over, he heard Sheng Qianmo calling for her. Perhaps out of fear that if the little girl would stay with him a little longer, who knows what might happen!
Sheng Zhiyu saw Shu Nuan nod slightly in his direction to say goodbye before going in.
Goodness! In broad daylight!? Fourth Brother, are you insane?
Haah. He decided to go to find his niece Sheng Gu to calm his mind.
After entering the room, Shu Nuan took the initiative to help Sheng Qianmo untie his upper robe. She was taught by a woman that Sheng Qianmo would take a nap every time he came back from the palace.
“Who came by while I was away?” asked Sheng Qianmo as he took the tea cup from her little hand and glanced at the tray of food on the table.
Sheng Qianmo didn’t speak as he slowly drank his tea.
She added, “Her Highness also brought snacks for me.”
“Is there anything else?”
Shu Nuan shook her head.
Sheng Qianmo silently gazed at her, then suddenly got up and went into the bedchamber.
Shu Nuan didn’t want to leave, but nor did she want to go over. She was hesitating. However, she heard Sheng Qianmo’s cold voice from inside the bedchamber.
“Not willing to come over?”
Shu Nuan didn’t know what had annoyed him. He wanted her to massage his back. She climbed onto the bed, knelt down beside him, and started rubbing his back.
Sheng Qianmo could tell that she was not very good at giving a massage; her hands were soft and limp, and she did not know where to press and knead. But he did not complain and simply let her warm hands press his back. It was a different kind of comfort that he was experiencing.
Sheng Qianmo was in a good mood and mentioned something that came to his mind.
“Tomorrow is the Beiguo Lantern Festival. At that time, the capital will be very lively. Do you want to go out to play?”
Shu Nuan was stunned, and as a result her hands stopped moving.
Shu Nuan blinked and continued rubbing his back, answering in a low voice, “Yes.”
The corners of Sheng Qianmo’s lips hooked upwards. He suddenly turned over, grabbed her hand, and pressed her petite figure under him. Shu Nuan was startled and stared at him with big eyes.
Sheng Qianmo felt that Shu Nuan’s current appearance was quite lovely. He extended his hand and pinched the tip of her chin.
“Do you have any wishes to make?”
 – ED: Death by a Thousand Cuts (Lingchi) was a method of torture and execution. It is not a good way to go.
 – The Princes we have seen so far are not the Emperor’s sons, but his brothers. The raws here refer to an indeterminate such Prince, we don’t know their name or “number” yet.
