My Little Girl (40)
But Sheng Qianmo, at this moment, paid no heed to her snowy-white back, because what caught his eyes were criss-crossing red marks. Her white and delicate skin was scarred. He didn’t know how long the little girl had to endure before she could not hold back from confessing.
Finally, he asked, “Does it still hurt?”
Shu Nuan touched the tip of her nose and rubbed it. She replied with a soft nasal, “Umm,” with the corners of her eyes still red.
Something ached inside him. Shu Nuan’s grievances were clear to him.
And she in turn thought of his estranged behaviour from before, and what he said to the Seventh Prince.
She couldn’t help but explain in a low voice, “Seventh Prince came by themselves. I didn’t beg him to help me.”
Sheng Qianmo was stunned, as if surprised that Shu Nuan still remembered that matter. Back then, he had just wanted her to be afraid, so she would never have the courage to do something unfortunate for herself. When he returned to Qin hall and saw her tears filled with grievance, he knew that he had scared the little girl too much. In simple terms, he regretted his estranged words.
Because Sheng Qianmo didn’t say anything for a while, Shu Nuan became worried that he didn’t believe her. She turned and gave him a nervous stare. By then, Sheng Qianmo was back to his senses. He said in a calm voice, “I know.”
He had applied the ointment, and as a result, Shu Nuan wasn’t dressed properly. She blushed but didn’t dare to say anything. She wanted to do it herself. But just as she was about to lift her skirt, Sheng Qianmo held down her little hand and said in a low voice, “I’ve just applied the medicine. You can take care of it later.”
Shu Nuan muttered, finally unable to give voice to what had been vexing her, “Your Highness, do not… look at…”
Sheng Qianmo didn’t intend to look, but when he heard the little girl blushing and hesitating to say such words to him, his heart grew playful.
His gaze took in the view. Although Shu Nuan had a petite frame, her behind was full and round like ripe fruit.
It was only because she was still injured, that Sheng Qianmo didn’t take a few more glances.
He kept staring for a while without harbouring any attention, before he could slowly ask her, “Can’t This Prince take a look?”
Shu Nuan could feel where his gaze landed. Lying on the pillow quite timid, she uttered, “Um.”
But then, Sheng Qianmo’s deep voice sounded out. “This Prince has seen it. What’s there not to be seen?”
The tips of Shu Nuan’s ears turned red again, and she did not dare to look back. Her small hand clutched the thin blanket to cover her body, but it was taken away by a big hand. Sheng Qianmo continued in a bland voice, “This Prince really can’t see?”
From his tone, it didn’t feel as if he was flirting. It really sounded like she was being interrogated about his ownership… of her behind.
Sheng Qianmo’s naturally oppressive aura confused Shu Nuan’s heart further. She didn’t know whether to blush or be afraid, or both.
Shu Nuan was very afraid of Sheng Qianmo, so how could she dare to provoke him? She blushed for a long time. In the end, she opened her small mouth and, full of shame, muttered, “You can see…”
It so happened that Sheng Qianmo still refused to let her go. He wanted her to finish the sentence. “I can see what?”
“Prince, Your highness…” muttered Shu Nuan, teeth chattering out of sheer embarrassment.
Sheng Qianmo’s slender fingers traced along her jaw. He slowly tightened his hand, and leaning close to her face, he followed up with another question. “Can others see it?”
Shu Nuan felt the heights of embarrassment that day, blushing in an instant, before the previous color had even drained of her face. “Only Your Highness can see…”
Having accomplished his goals, he hooked his lips up, intending to spare her.
Sheng Qianmo didn’t tease her again, and in a gentle manner put the blanket on her.
