My Little Girl (21)
The man’s voice was hoarse and slightly sluggish. Shu Nuan’s gaze fell onto his adam’s apple, and she thought that it looked quite sexy.
The prince’s words made her blush at once一a little nervous and at a loss. Shu Nuan was about to draw her hand back, but Sheng Qianmo embraced her even harder, completely encircling her slender waist in an intimate position. His hands went around her with no pretense.
Shu Nuan forgot to breathe under the man’s hot breath, which dazzled her. Still embarrassed and blushing, she stammered in apology, “Y-Your humble slave doesn’t know how she got into the Prince’s bed.”
Sheng Qianmo lowered his head and rubbed his lips against the tip of her nose. His voice was soft and sexy, yet not too provocative.
“You do not know?”
Shu Nuan couldn’t help lowering her head, nuzzling her nose, and pleading for mercy in a low voice, “Lord, please don’t joke.”
Sheng Qianmo knew how embarrassed she was and how she had always been thin-skinned. So he stopped making fun of the little girl and let her go. His mouth curved into a smile.
Even after both of them got up, the room had seemed to become home to an ambiguous, although passional, atmosphere.
Shu Nuan lowered her head while helping Sheng Qianmo change. Sheng Qianmo looked at her, and asked casually, “Why are your ears red?”
Shu Nuan’s hand stopped, and with a red face she looked up at Sheng Qianmo with resentment. She thought about how he’d said this just to tease her and make her angry, or rather, embarrassed.
“Prince, I’m done…” she whispered, turning her head and running out of the room.
Sheng Qianmo knew that the little girl was shy, so he was not amused this time. He took advantage of the situation by sleeping with her, making her even more embarassed.
He planned to always tease her about it. And seeing her emotions just then, he had learned that the girl actually had a short temper in her heart.
However, Sheng Qianmo was not worried at all. Instead, he pondered how rare it was for her to be angry at him, and how such an appearance was rather heartwarming.
Shu Nuan ate her breakfast and didn’t serve Sheng Qianmo. She ate by herself, which was a novelty as she usually ate with Sheng Qianmo now. But even now her ears were tinged with a light red.
Sheng Qianmo saw the little girl eating well and wanted to have a good conversation with her. But Shu Nuan stood up to leave. The prince grasped her arm, which caught her off guard as she was suddenly pulled onto his leg. The shade on her ears intensified, and she jumped up and stepped back from him.
Sheng Qianmo said helplessly, “Still angry?”
Shu Nuan bit her lip and shook her head. What Sheng Qianmo said to her made her realise that she had acted in a temper.
“No,” she whispered back.
“Don’t be angry.” Sheng Qianmo stood up and rubbed her pretty nose. “Go get your things. This Prince will take you to school.”
Shu Nuan’s stared back. “Lord, will you not go to the military camp today?”
“This Prince needs to coax the angered little ancestor first.”
The corner of her mouth quirked up. She gazed at him silently for a long time, and only after a while did she whisper a vague response about running back to the room for a book.
It was the first time Sheng Qianmo was taking her to the Yulin Academy after the day she was enrolled.
Along the way, Shu Nuan’s chatter filled the carriage. The little girl seemed to be in a good mood, and not as stiff and uneasy as usual either. Sheng Qianmo took this chance to mention the festival coming up then on the 15th of that month. Shu Nuan looked up at him, and said, “We from the Tenth Class have prepared a play for it.”
Sheng Qianmo stared at Shu Nuan in response, astonished.
It was as if he was properly seeing her smile for the first time.
Two shallow dimples adorned her deep smile.
