Chapter 17 : My Little Girl (7)
It was late at night. A freezing wind blew outside.
Shu Nuan was wearing a thin layer of clothes as she knelt in the cold. As a result, she couldn’t help but sneeze.
Not long after, the dark bedroom lit up and the door was opened.
Upon hearing the noise, Shu Nuan looked up to find Sheng Qianmo looking down at her from the door with indifferent eyes.
Seeing Shu Nuan kneeling there made a feeling and a memory rise up in his heart.
That day when she had knelt beneath his horse, she had worn a distressed look while begging for help. But recently he was used to her being clever and sensible.
However, now she had been kneeling outside his room all night. When she faced him, he saw her hair that had been disheveled by the wind.
The little girl’s eyes were red. He knew she had delicate skin and could not stand the cold wind for such a long time. Her misty eyes held back impending tears as her teeth squeezed a lip. She looked pitiful, but to a man that just added to her loveliness.
Sheng Qianmo narrowed his eyes, and asked in a cold tone, “Do you admit to your mistakes?”
Shu Nuan pursed up her small mouth and nodded.
Shu Nuan bit her lip and stood up after getting his permission. However, she had knelt for too long. As she rose up, her legs gave and she nearly fell on her knees again.
But Sheng Qianmo was able to grab her delicate arm in a powerful grip before she fell.
Sheng Qianmo wrinkled his brows and looked confused while he carried the little thing hanging from his arm inside.
Sheng Qianmo put her on the couch and went to look for something. After rummaging through the inner hall, he finally found an ointment. When he came back, he saw the little girl with her head down pulling at her cuffs, clearing feeling very uncomfortable.
Sheng Qianmo looked as calm as one could be as he walked over, sat down on the couch, opened the ointment cover, and ordered faintly,
Shu Nuan carefully moved to his side.
Sheng Qianmo frowned and patted his thigh.
Shu Nuan was stunned. She was hesitating and couldn’t decide what to do. Sheng Qianmo was already impatient, so he simply stretched out his hand and pulled Nuan over his leg.
“Sit tight and don’t move.”
Shu Nuan sat upon his legs, so she couldn’t help but fidget and move a little. But once Sheng Qianmo looked at her coldly, she sat there like a statue. She then put her hands around his neck, which made her look very well-behaved.
Since Shu Nuan was wearing a dress that covered her knees, Sheng Qianmo lifted it up. He saw that her white legs were now all red and her knees were especially swollen.
Sheng Qianmo frowned slightly. He bent down slightly, took hold of her slender legs, and smeared cool ointment on the inflamed area.
Since he was a man who had been trained in the military camp since he was young, he didn’t give his strength any serious consideration. Although Shu Nuan thought that he hadn’t used much strength, but the whole process of applying the medicine was still very painful for her. However, she clenched her mouth shut and kept quiet.
After applying the medicine, Sheng Qianmo gently rubbed her calves again, and asked,
“Does it still hurt?”
Shu Nuan shook her head several times, lowered it down on Sheng Qianmo’s chest, and did not dare to speak. She could clearly hear the strong heartbeat of the man.
Sheng Qianmo asked again in a slightly displeased voice as he gently rubbed her soft hair.
But Shu Nuan still shook her head again.
Sheng Qianmo saw that the little girl was scared and didn’t ask her any more questions. He put down her skirt and ordered the people outside to bring in the dinner.
Then, Sheng Qianmo ordered the servants to serve the dinner.
